Been thinking about doing a exo-cage on the wifes rig. With an exo can you just put in some points from the body and the program draws the cage? Does it have different body types already in it?

It work off a simplified idea of the x,y & z axis. They are instead labeled as left right up down and front back. If you just get the ez it has a set of templates built in that you can enter your dimensions and it will calculate your tooling and material and give you a set of bend locations. If you get ez 3d or pro you have the templates as well as a 3d platform. To use the 3d assembly side you start with a origin (0,0,0) and the go from there. Each point is called a pickpoint. Once you have laid out your design you just connect the dots. It then lays out what you want with the provided tooling and material. Then you can select each part and make a cut sheet with the desired bend points. I have found this program to be extremely accurate. Also I almost entirely use the 3d side of the program.

I have the Ez. I tried and failed. I'll stick to Pirates101 and do it old school.

I am pretty happy with it so far. I got the pro edition and made my first bends with it this weekend and everything lined up like I knew what I doing. Much easier than doing it the oldschool way. It is pretty easy to figure out once you start playing with it. It is worth every penny in my opinion. The only templates it has that I have seen are for doffernt types of hoops, door bars, and things like that. I just use the assembly side of it so that I can see what everything is going to look like when it is finished. I just pick a spot that is easy to measure from off the truck and start adding in points and connecting the dots.
