PnP SATX 85 Turbo Toyota truck

FYI for the toyota guys/girls
their is a 1985 Turbo toyota out at pnp.
Turbo is gone but the short block, w56 and tcase are still in it(no shifters).
front axle is their minus the locking hubs/third and axle shafts.
driveshafts are still their. no rear third.
vin plate said 2-r-t. The exhaust was on the passenger side and the starter on the driverside.
their is also a 79 2wd toyota. nice box and fenders but remember they are off a 2wd no flares.
Nice radio tray...I almost bought it. and it's a SR5 so all the a/c and stuff is still in it. The instrument cluster has a tach in it.
anyway, this was a few days ago. If I had the money the tranny and t-case would be sitting here at home.

It it is a turbo truck it will have a R151f tranny and forward shift tcase in it....all 23 spline stock. The W56 and top shift tcase only came in EFI trucks.

I'm not all knowing. Just that it was a 4 banger and the vin plate stated 2-r-t. Part of the intake was in the bed that had turbo on it. I have never seen a 4 banger with the exhaust on the passenger side. and placement of the starter at about 2 o'clock looking inside the engine bay.
well....anyway, that was intresting. The data plate under the hood stated w56.
and for sure it had a tops shift t-case.

Thats interesting Mike. I didnt think Toyota would cast another block for a turbo and put the starter on the opposite side. I do know for a fact that turbo trucks are R151f trannys and forward shift.....could someone have changed it. Yes. Interesting find.

Intresting yes. I wish My phone was working right. I would of took a picture. I've did some research and came up with nothing. Their is a turbo diesel that I came across but didn't have any close up pictures of the engine bay.
anyway....it's out their for anyone intrested in parts or even the t-case...or tranny.

Automatic transmissions are gay.

Flipped up tow mirrors are the sagging pants of the truck world.
