Ok guys, since we do seem to have a decent amount of people from the Corpus area that are wheeling now, what dates are you guys planning to make trips??

I will update the list here as we find out what weekends the parks will have events, and can also update it with who plans to go which weekends so everyone knows. It sure would be nice to get the entire Corpus group out on a trip at the same time.

You can count me in for opening weekend at K2, Trees in March, May, and probably Labor Day. See what else comes along during the year.

good idea . if we can get a calendar of the whole years events . to put in for vacation i have to know atleast one month ahead or time

Thats what I'm going to work towards, probably a little early to get all info for all runs, but I will see what I can find out.

I haven't had the opportunity to do any good wheeling in TX yet. (well, a little in Goliad) But i want to! My rig is a driver to and from so its the local runs I'm interested in. I'm def to go to hidden falls. But any more than 4-5 hrs of driving home is outside my comfort zone... Still, I'd like to hook up with you guys and contribute to some group outings! I'll be watching this!

You are more than welcome to join us anywhere. There is a decent size group of Corpus are wheelers around here now most of which havent chimed in yet, but hopefully they will. It is still a little early, and all schedules have yet to be released.

Sounds good guys, I have updated the list again. Looks like we will have a nice Corpus/Valley turnout for K2 opener. Brian and David, if any of the other valley guys want to post up in here, tell em go for it. I don't think there are a ton of guys down your way, so it would be easy enough to group em in with all of us.

Updated again. Texas4x4 will not have an actualSummer run in 2012 due to it being the 10th anniversary run, it will be at Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer Nov 16-18. 2013 everything goes back to Summer Run at K2. There may be a run Texas4x4 puts on at K2 this year, but there will be no raffle or dinner due to that occuring at the Anniversary Run.

Holy Shiat!!! I was not gonna make a big run this year, but Rastus has found a way to convince me. Sounds like a big party to me. Gotta start saving my pennies now.

Any pics of Barnwell?? Location? I always thought it was more of a mild wheeling park...or am I completely off??

I just checked out the pics on their site, and was not impressed. Seemed more like a mud place with alot of dirt. Go to the places to wheel and click the link for BMRA.
