D-LUX just gettin started
It's been a while since I've posted anything but it's been a productive couple of weeks as we're trying to get it ready for a small trip with some friends later this month..

For starters I've knocked out most of the "to do" list on the trail rig. Sanded/painted it, fresh fluids, plugs & wires, and half *** finished the front bumper. It needs a brace from the frame to the tube that's under the fender but I pretty much toasted my drill on the tubing notcher.
If any of yall are on instagram I usually post pics daily as its easier than always trying to keep this thread up to date. Screen name is texaskrew

It's definitely been a while since I've posted here. The crosby/dso trip was botched as my buddies trans in his tow rig decided it wanted to puke its guts on the way to the park. Didn't make it where we wanted to go but did end up at his place over in Todd Mission and wheeled on his property for the rest of the day. The truck did awesome for its first trip since the rebuild & we're hopefully taking it to General Sams Friday. If anyone is local and wants to go wheelin' we'll be there all weekend.

Anyone else know how hard it is to plan a wheeling trip with more than 2 friends...

After changing plans about 100 times we ended up in Crosby for the weekend. With a rag-tag group consisting of a couple of atv's, one sxs, and my truck we wheeled both days & covered just about every trail this thing would fit down.

Only got stuck the one time, but it was pretty nasty. Bad enough the park owner/manager offered to get their trackhoe to come pull it out. Ended up being able to winch itself out though.

All in all it was a good weekend

Been focused too much on a new project to devote any time to the offroad ride but we did make it out to a benefit ride over in Splendora and a short trip to general sams. Didn't have any issues other than completely killing the bushings in the front springs, big *** dents down the driver side from the creek trail in Huntsville and a window that met its demise on a low hanging branch

The new toy, it's an 01 Suzuki TL1000r... has a m4 exhaust, PC-II, & ported heads. Just got it running and sounds wicked. Plans for it are to ditch the extended swing arm/the factory rotary damper, tail section from an rs 250, gsxr front forks, and if the funds are right find a better set of forged wheels. Using the black bike for inspiration.

What the bike looks like now. Waiting on new rubber, an el-cheapo paint job and a sub frame for the new tail.. Been a very fun project so far
