No coilovers. It is still the same coil springs over a pair of slip fit tubes and standard shocks.

By the way, I took the buggy to a public scale and the final weight is 2840 lb. We missed the 2500 lb. target but steel is actually quite heavy

To make a short story long - the diffs are geared with a 513T set. The transmission gearing is stock Honda. The D44s that I bough for this project were both 3:73. To keep from having to replace the carrier, I have to use thicker gears. 513 was the largest thick gear I could find (reasonably priced).

Hey bigevil -it was good to wheel with you too as well as the rest of the gang.
I'm putting the only footage I got from my camera with my buggy in it on Youtube.
Here is the vid

The camera ran out of memory halfway through the run but I did make it all the way on this obstacle. Busted another shackle on the rear limit stops so my springs got all messed up again so I couldn't navigate the last wall all the way. Good thing there was a friendly winch operator there.

This is one sweet little rig that performed really well this weekend. It was nice meeting you out there, look forward to wheeling with you again.
