Cheaper, and if you hit it on the edge stronger by design

I run 2" .250 on my lowers and 1.75" .250 on my uppers. Not even close to needed. Most run .120 wall to shave weight as it doesn't see the same abuse as the lowers.

Yep cheap. My links are a little on the long side and my rig is overweight so they bent pretty quick. They have a nice frowny face now.

Artec over on pirate is a pain in the arse to get a hold of. I'd like to order the truss, but he always takes forever to reply. I hope this doesn't reflect the rest of his business.
I had a lot of trouble with them at first. Ordered and called. They told me it would be 10 days out.... No problem. But after the run around and a month later I canceled and got a refund. Then it magically appeared.... I like it. They kept telling me the holiday sales whiped out their stock. For what that's worth ......they do have some nice stuff. Nice quality cut brakets and the truss is strong. 3/8 top and 1/4" inside bracing.

I got my link material from ruff stuff and it was not that expensive. 2" .250 wall lowers and front upper, 1.75" .120 wall uppers.

Yea, Almost 2 days with no response from artec. I might just order ( if I can make up my mind ) and hope for the best. It's just hard to give someone cash that won't even answer a simple pm.
I do like their product better than others. So that's the only reason I'm still on the fence.....

You won't like the price. That's why I went with 2" .250 wall square on my front upper and lower links. After I get done upgrading the driveline, I'll be ordering a set of 7075 Aluminum links for the front three link.

The way I look at it, by the time I get 4 pcs of 4 ft. Dom from artec it will cost me $240 by the time I ship it. If it's not too far from there, I'll have enough for an extra link or two.....

Yotaguy on here makes some crazy nice front trusses. As simple or as complicated as you want. They are c-c and look a lot like the artec stuff. Might check out his build. Rastus also has one on his front axle. And he answers the phone. Well most of the time. lol

I always answer the phone for you honey..

Kevin ( yotaguy ) makes damn fine front and rear trusses, plus he is a member here, never have to wonder if he will be in contact or not or if the parts will be sent on time.

I just ordered heims, Frame brackets ( RuffStuff ) and a rear truss ( UCF ) and spent less than $600. Dan @ Ruffstuff makes great parts, and I've never had any issues with delays or bad orders, and I've used his heims, brackets, tabs and other misc for years.. same as most folks. Would have went with Kevins rear truss, but with me running the aerostar coils, there is not enough room for everything to fit.

I guess the second one got him......
I asked whether the kit and truss were in stock.....here's the reply.....

Currently we are backordered on both. The truss and some of the brackets are arriving within the next few days, then we bend them up which will likely be a couple more days. Most likely I would say it would be ready to ship late next week. It's been super busy with tax return season and its probably going to get busier. If you can swing it, put the order in sooner rather than later.

Not sure what to think of it.......

I actually talked to Nate today and he told me it would be a week or so before my order was shipped. He asked if I wanted to cancel but I didn't. I would rather run their 4 link kit than someone's else's. it not a big deal to me since I'm not really in a hurry to link it so ill wait and link it when everything arrives.

Do you plan to be trail ready in two weeks? I personally wouldn't fret it. Nate is a stand up guy, and they will go out of their way to make it right. They are still a fairly small shop, and stay busy. Try getting Don Davis from sniperfab to answer a pm. It's been months. I finally called and he shipped it right away. The only three companies I know that a good about responding to a pm are RuffStuff, Trail worthy fab, and dirt fab. Every other company is too busy to respond more than once a day. And a phone call does wonders. You can read a lot more out of someones voice than a text.
