Well this has been an ongoing process going on for almost 7 years since I tore it apart. Between the family growing, doing family duties, bills, and getting burned out, I finally threw in the towel. Fortunately, I worked a deal with Kevin (yotaguy)/ H&H Fabrication to finish it off for me. I wasn't planning on doing a "build thread" here but to say I've been impressed with Kevin's work is a true understatement. I also wanted to let others see his work (paging mudslinger). It's not easy trusting someone to build your rig, especially one 750 miles away, but Kevin has been a great guy to deal with .

Highlights include a propane SBC, th350, 203 to lomax, rocks, 47s and a few other little things. Here's how it looked when I dropped it off to him:

2 weeks later:

Kevin has gone thru the rocks, including doing some countersunk bolts on the spindles, mohawking the pans, mounting the steering ram, setting up the pinion brakes, recentering my h1s, and man handling the LtBs. Lots considering this is only a side project for Kevin. Hope to see more soon. Anyone looking for work to be done should really consider Kevin at H&H fabrication. Two

Also we threw the idea around for a full 4 seater buggy but just not enough money sitting around for it and this thing has a huge emotional value... we thought about cutting out the stock dash and doing a tube dash but just couldn't brig myself to do it.

Rig looks great! I'll have to come out there tomorrow and check it out in person. And yes Kevin does great work and is a pleasure to work with. He has turned my fj from a turd into my dream rig.

It will never see anything other that garage concrete.

David will get it home and decide that it needs "something" else and it will sit in the garage for another 7 years.

Seen it today and even sat shotgun for a sec. This things going to be off the hook. I was thinking it was going to be bigger in person than it was but it's not overly big. The wheel/tire/hub flip combo makes it perfect imo. Can't wait for more update pics.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It means a lot!

The blazer is coming along nicely. Just been working on it in between other jobs. Got all the propane stuff buttoned up today. Then started sizing up the driveshafts, mounted power steering pump, and made a giant list of stuff to order with David via about ten thousand texts! Hahaaa!

Going to try. Kevin says the rear needs some minor trimming and depending on the front tube I should be able to get them on. But that won't be finalized until I get it home.
