jalapeno poppers

These are just run of the mill bombers with a kick. I start off with about 20-25 jalapenos, regular cream cheese and bacon. The kick comes in when you mix the cream cheese with chili powder. I don't have an exact measurement of the chili powder I just add it till it looks kinda redish.

I'm sure everyone on here has made these so lets hear the tricks you use. If I do them fancy I'll get thick deli sliced peppered bacon..mmm mm!

Cream cheese and chili powder

Leave mine whole. Just hollow them out and stuff with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, garlic and onion, then wrap with the porky awesomeness.

D@mn farmers need to grow bigger jalapenos. That does sound good. I normaly save the charizzo for the hangover breakfast.

I need to get some Hatch green chilies and stuff them with a cheese and charizzo mix. That would bring the awsome!

Damn all of you I need to go hit the store in the morn.

I might be the only person on the planet who doesn't like chorizo. The flavor just comes off as too overwhelming. Maybe in a popper it wouldn't be the #1 flavor I taste.

I thought bbq sauce was meant for people to mask their shitty bbq?? . Give the chorizo a try...I usually drain the excess grease before though...

Uncooked they scorch your arse. Cooked release's the oils and burns your ballz off. Best use of a hab. is to toss one in a huge pot of what ever your cooking, and I mean a huge pot like one that will feed 20 people.

I even got a nice tray to hold my poppers while they cook.

Yes it's gas, but it's my small portable grill when living in the travel trailer.

This is my big boy griller/smoker,

I miss it already. Might have to look into those light weight piece of crap just to get the wood smoke taste.
