1.25" Heim - Square tube insert?

Can you or have you made any inserts for your 1.25" Heims for square tube? I'm running square tube, 1/4" wall tubing for my links and wonder how much more strength could be gained with more weld, with a square insert instead of round.

If it was easy, they'd have women in Jeeps doing it.

When all else fails, give it hell.

Ballistic has them, But personally I've never seen one pull out of the tube that was welded right.

Well I can tell you 90 that being a 3 link that one side has a lot to put up with, Nathan has welded that buggy, his buggy on roc's and lot's of other stuff on these rigs and they all held up fine. I don't think the weld failed, I just think there was too much one that 1 joint and it had no where else to go. The other side was fine. even with the hyme smashed against the tube it never gave a bit.

Ryans buggy did in Clayton this weekend. It's a 3 link and the side with the single like broke at the weld. These adapters should help the stress that 1 link takes from the rig ??

Interesting this should come up today. We are adding square tube adapters, I just ordered 800 to be made from one of our machinists', it will be about 2 weeks...

That's awesome Dan! Thanks!! Keep us posted.

Not just the weld broke. Part of the tube adapter came with it. Oops. We beat on the buggy pretty dang hard this weekend.
