Escondido Draw
We received our FONSI last week. That is the final hurdle to getting the approvals done.
Finally, 3 years and in excess of 1,000 hours of my time later, we are there. We are wrapping up the new plan of facilities now and will begin installation ASAP.

Do you have a map that shows the topopgrahy of the land? How about one with miles from major cities?
Thanks Bob |

Regarding distances ...
The park is SIX hours from either Dallas or Houston. It is 385 miles from my house in East Dallas to the park. A similar amount from Houston. The route from Houston is super simple ... I10 west to Exit 343. It is a bit more complicated from DFW ... West on I20 to Cisco South on 206 to Coleman and just beyond to West on US67 through San Angelo to Barnhart South on 163 to Ozona and West on I10 to Exit 343 then ... Exit Texas 290 - Sheffield / Fort Lancaster - Exit 343 Left across the bridge over Texas 290 Follow Texas 290 to CR406 Left on CR406 Follow CR406 south crossing THREE cattleguards 50 feet BEFORE the FOURTH cattleguard, there will be a gate on your left with a sign on the right side that has TMTC spray painted on it. There is a no trespassing sign in the middle of the gate. Enter that gate. Follow the gravel road about one mile .. through a gate to a gate by an oil production platform ... that gate has our name on it. Come through the gate ... BTW ... leave ALL gates like you found them Follow the road to the left at the fork down the hill to a T Turn right at the T and follow the road about a mile to a right turn that will take you to Deer Camp. Nearest Major City - San Angelo - 2 hours Nearest Town - Ozona - 30~40 minutes Here is a map showing the buildout of the ATV and MC system and some of the 4x4 There is only a few 4x4 trails in place at the moment. A group from Southern High Rollers is coming out in late February to lay in some more. We will be there from the 27th of February through the 7th of March for an extended push to get some trails opened up. There is a great amount of very slow technical trail that can be built out. In addition we have a member from East Texas that brought out a dozer and he is building out the first rim trail. There are a bunch of photographs here that were taken at the park. A friend in SHR described the park as being like Las Cruces but we own it. This park will always be there as long as people want it. It will not close, it will not go away. TMTC is OHV. I cannot fix my sig line to include the link so I will say it here ... Ride dirt in Texas? Join Texas Motorized Trails Coalition and support those working to increase OHV opportunity in Texas.

You're good with geography ... actually East Dallas
I really like the Victoria area. It has been too many years since I was last there, but all of the coastal bend is beautiful in my book. I guess I could move, it isn't like I have any business in Dallas ...
