At it again!

It was finally time to get started on BlazerKillers Scout. I pulled the front clip last weekend to get better access and started stripping brackets and tabs.I started messing with it in my spare time, and got some coil buckets built and the crossmember built. The springs are in,just gotta get the measurment for the links and a couple more parts and knock it out.Thats when the fun starts, front four link with air shocks. This round of mods will include a front D60 with a spool rear 14boltFF with a lincoln locker and 513 gears. It will also get 44"TSLs on Allied beadlocks, and a little fender triming.
For those that don`t know the Scout is starting this round with a TBI350,th400,205 which will get twinsticked.

Welding up the rear link mount

Almost finished

Spring Buckets

Brackets look pretty good.

Are you keeping a "full" body or tubing it?

I was thinking about tubing out the back half, but the boss says keep as much body as possible. With 44s that might be a challenge.
The lower links will be 1 1/4x1 the uppers 7/8x7/8. I know some think the lowers are "too big,and a waste of money" but I think the safety facter is worth it.

Very nice Rick and Delta. I like the pockets. 1 1/4" heims are it . I agree with you Rick, safety is first, especially when it is your sweetie. Going to be an awesome build. Keep the pics coming.

Almost there Delta.

I got the front D60 truss in Tue. but it had a piece missing so I can`t weld it up yet. The truss is all 1/2 inch material, the replacement piece they sent is 3/16,and it`s supposed to hold one side.Needless to say I`m P.O.ed! The parts I got allowed me to mock up the steering only to discover that the arms are 2 1/2 to long on each side,so now I hafta order two inserts. Oh well, that will give me time to get the frame cleaned up.

Sounds like you ordered your parts from Del Rio.
