Powerjection III EFI System

Well I've been watching these for about a year, I couldn't stand it anymore plus they lowered the price by $300.00. So I ordered one today it should be here this week. I'll post up the install and results as I go. I figure I can get rid of some weight by loosing the propane tank, and have a painless fuel injection system. If it works good I can sell them at the shop. Should work great on a street rod or 1/4 mile car.
Feel like a little kid on Xmas eve can't wait!!!!
No I didn't get the polished one mine was $100.00 cheaper!

I can't think of any reason why I would still need it. Thats one of the reasons I did this so, guess it will be for sale.

I have a medium size tank I'm using and 2 forklift tanks that have not been hooked up to the system. I had rebuilt the mixer and had put a brand new heat exchanger on. The feed line fron the tank is about 20' I think.

Send me a PM let me know what you think it be worth. You can have first dibs.

OK da m the pms If you want the propane unit I'm going to pull off the Jeep $275.00. The mixer has been rebuilt and the heater is brand new. The feed line is also brand new.You get every thing except the toggal switch inside the cab. That goes for everyone but Mud gets first crack. The unit came off a big block well motor and sits on top of the carb. Thats all I know about it. I can post some pictures I guess if you need them.

Its here !!

Well it got here yesterday and it was just like Xmas. I was impressed with the whole thing except the pressure gage was snapped off the fuel rail.
I sent the software instructions home to my Son who is waiting on back surgery, so he can reed up on how to tune it should we feel the need. Yes hes a turner, But he also has a 64 Chevy II that runs 11's that he drives on the street. See video- http://www.youtube.com/user/ultrawor...12/v6NeG9fs9ZQ
It dose self learn but you know how we are were never satisfied with anything and think we can make it better so we screw with it. (I'm smarter than that computer so I should be able to make it run better if I tune it myself) Right??? Well we'll see. Wish I didn't have to work for a living I'd have this thing on today!!!

Is there a way to bolt it to the manifold? Pics would be nice. I'm still interested.

I'm sure interested in how this runs after you get it installed. I am building a 408 SBC for the new YJ. I haven't made up my mind yet on which injection system to use. Keep us updated.

Just bolt a on a Q jet or any other 4 brl carb, then the propane unit goes on top of it. I guess you could gut the carb if you wanted.

I'm real busy at the shop and one man short with my son out with his back problem but I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow.

Well I got it running today. Had some parts to gather up and had to modify the keg gas tank I'm running but everything went pretty smooth. I thought I had made a big mistake when I first fired the engine. It wasn't running well at all and when I gave it some throttle it stumbled, farted, back fired then started running really bad. The injectors were firing intermittently at part throttle then would stop completely at full throttle. It would kind of settle down if I would let it idle. I was ready to cry. Thoughts of crap will they take this piece of S__t back ,what did I do wrong Dam, Dam, Dam. Well a little looking around in sheer panic under covered the TPS wasn't plugged in (Had to unplug it to put the right front bolt in the base plate). Well plugging in the little sob made a big difference. MAN dose it run good. My wife even noticed how responsive it sounded. I haven't driven it yet as it was time to feed the wife, she was being a trooper knowing I wanted to at least hear it run today. Well I get some video up on UTube and some pics on here. Now I want to go wheeling. THIS IS GOING TO BE SWEET!!

Cool beans! It's a bear when something so little can cause so much trouble. We were ready to scrap the propane when we finally figured out that the plug wires were all going to the wrong cylinders (long story, hand me a and I will tell you). We re ran the wire, threw some timing to it and fired her up!

Now, where are the pics/vids???

Well i think I may keep the propane unit on for a wile until I'm sure the new injection unit is going to be 100% trust worthy. I'll run a smaller tank (BBQ style) so I can get rid of most of the weight of the 15 Gl tank I have now. I just don't want to be stranded if it lays down on me. What do you think??
