any updates? Interested in this setup myself. Does it control fuel AND spark or just fuel? Will the tbi handle incoming boost from a turbo or does it have to b housed in an enclosure? Thanks. You happy with it?

Just fuel. Yes it will handle incoming boost you hook the map senser and the fuel regulator to the intake to tell everything what the vac or boost is and the computer is supposed to adjust for the boost. I take it your using a blow through system. So far it seems real responsive and the power is better than the carb I had on it the real test will be out on the trails. I've been to busy to get the Jeep out, guess the end of the month at the river is going to be the maiden voyage.

Yes, blow through, but curious as to why for that much money they'd give you everything BUT spark control. Got everything else, figure thay could do that too. Contacted the manufacturer a few times, haven't heard anything back. Thanks for the reply. I'd be interested in spark control due to altitude changes.

Well I was loading up for a trip to the river yesterday got the front tires on the trailer. The engine stalled, restarted it stalled again. Messed with it for about 1 1/2 hs. changed fuel pump changed the module in the dist. Looks like I lost the ECU for the injection system. Rats! An upgraded ECU with spark control is $405.00 hope the older version like mine is cheaper. I'm already looking for someone that has upgraded and has an old ECU.

New ECM's on it's way. The new one will have spark control in it also.

Installed the new ECU and it runs again. The idle circuit is much better in the new ECU programing. Still have to let it learn just need some run time.

Well I don't know if anyone knew or not the blower ran low on gear lube and lost a bearing. So I ordered everything to rebuild it. I had installed a performer intake to get me by it ran OK but not like it did. This is the bearing that gave up;

The teflon seals looked a bit worn so I changed them. Not an easy task.

After you install them you have to heat them to 200 degrees. Wife was surprisingly OK with me popping them in her oven.

Then I had to turn the new seals to size. 4.479"-4.482" Used my trusty Craftsman lathe and they came out pretty good.

Put it back together yesterday.

Got it put back on today. video sucks I change to an email setting. I was impressed how it ran considering I haven't gone into the ECU to change anything. You can see the vacuum gage I was getting 5 lbs of boost with no load on the engine. It should get 6 maybe more under a load.

Hard to beat a fuel injected blown big block!

First off all this started at the river. I was reliving my mud bogging days having a blast. Untill everything went down hill. Was header uot to the tressel from the medaows. got just past the bend going away from the sand drage area. And bam nothing would not start. A trip to town for a new modulator for the HEI cap roter and coil. Still no start. Travis was kind enought to tow me bach to camp with his Toyota. (Never hear the end of that). Next moroning I needed to get it on the trailer and pored some gas down the TB and it started and ran well enough to put her on the trailer.

Got all these posted up on a forum for the powerjection. Thought some of you might be interested.

This is the first post * June 2013 and runs through yesterday July 9 2013.

So had some water issues splashing around in the river. Guess the weather plug let water in. Anyway reloaded a base file and everything was OK. Loaded my last know file different than the base. messed around with things gitting the iac down to 4-5. So now the problem is It will not start unless I dump fuel in the T body after it starts it runs good. WTF? I have loaded several files I know the engine would run on nothing seems to change. I've never up loaded a file so if that's what we need it may take some coaching. I changed it to prime while cranking and back to prime before cranking. No diff. It will start if I start it emideatly after sutting it off

Seems it's the tac signal in the PCM My tac inside the truck moves but the dash board seems to be intermitant?

Ok may make sence. That's one of the things I changed before this all started. I was trying to get the IAC down as low as possible at idle. When it's at idle the IAC is only at about 5%. Instructions read no more than 25% so I was thinking the lower the # the better.

Still no fuel while crancking. I changed it to prime before start and I can get it to start now. I changed the ms to 75 and turn it on and off acouple time to get some fuel to it. The bigest problem I see is no tac signal when cranking. Witch would keep the injectors from firing right

Lower your cranking IAC position. Start at about 80. Set your throttle shafts. You want the IAC fully closed at idle. That would be a IAC count of 4 or 6, I can't remember what the V3.0 goes down to. Your minimum is set at 4, see if it will go there.

Will do it will take a while to find that stuff as I'm not complety sure where those adjustmens are. So your thinking the IAC position is messing with the rpm signal?

Hope I have time tomorrow we're bussy at the shop I may have to sneek it in. The boss is a jurk. LOl that would be me. I did get 2 new fan relays wired in and the gears put back in the rear end today.
