Quick Release Steering Wheel

I have been searching for a quick release steering wheel hub. I need it to fit the end of a steering column on an orbital steering valve. Here's what I found. I kinda like the hex shaped Wilwood unit the most, it's the cheapest. But, it might be a hassle to find the pin. It looks like the Pegasus has a ring to release the hub and only about $10 more.

Anybody use these? Opinions?

You have to weld the hex or splined part to the column.

Good link, thanks.

I see no reason to spend twice the money for the splined version.

Looks like I'll be calling PolyPerf.

That's the exact one we use, I saw no need for the splined one either, I don't really care if my wheel is a tick off one way or the other. Try this link on for size, and they are in TX to boot bigok

No problem. Glad it helped. :toast:

The splined ones are not for centering exactly. I have heard from SEVERAL people that the hex ones get kinda 'loose' after awhile. I have the splined one on my buggy that I got from Day Motorsports in Tyler. Good place to buy from.

I've got a hex aluminum push pin on my buggy now and it has some wobble, not too bad but enough to notice. If I redid it I would use the splined version, but mine is kinda old too.
