Flowmasters sound good, I just can't stand the interior resonance... I'm going to dual glasspacks on my burb... kids are annoying enough, I don't need my truck yelling at me too...
go with single exhuast. with a muffler with some back pressure or you will lose some bottom end. I had a 4.3 in a s-10 i use to have. not very many mods to it and it ran 16's in the 1/4 mile.
As you know, a sound wave has a certain resonance at a certain given length so the longer or shorter the exhaust system the sound will change with it. Also where the muffler is placed will affect the sound. I sure have to agree with the Flowmaster comment, love the sound but hate the resonating of the muffler itself. Maybe going into a larger quiet muffler mounted in a cross wise position in the rear would work.
I love the magna flow... they are quiet inside but the outside sounds awesome... I think their website actually has some .wav files that you can hear what they sound like.
the flowmaster 40's just came in. gonna put them on the buggy this weekend and see how they sound. if they dont sound right then I'll put them on my truck vortec 350, I know they'll sound good on there.
