Anyone have some 1 1/8 tubing?

I needs about 2-4 feet of 1 1/8 tubing .250 wall but thinner could work.... I could order it, but I dont need a 20 ft stick of it...Thought one of you guys might have some propped against the wall somewhere...

already tried...they didnt have any .250 wall stuff, only .188 stuff if I remember, which will probably work anyways...But they could only sell me a 18-24ft piece they said...ill call back and try Tim though and see if he can do better...

If you find something bigger I can turn the ends down on the lathe or its hard to tell from the pic but if it just bolts on aluminum might work.

Thanks Jeromy...it slides inside both peices on each end, if that make sense...I guess it was a "factory" piece of tubing because 1 1/8 with a .250 wall is un heard of I guess...

I have some 1.5" DOM .250 wall.... Its not like the shifters are really heavy or anything, I guess they made it that thick because of the overall length and presure applied when shifting... Do you think there will be enough thickness left in the wall of the 1.5" if we turn it down to 1 1/8 OD? If you think it will work, then Ill get a peice ready to be turned down....

Thanks.

Man you can make that out of anything. Thats how the shifters in my stak were at first untill I canged them. Wouldn't make any difference if was dom, hrew, heavy conduit, solid cold roll, ect ect

I forgot to get a measurment before I got out the door....Id say about 24" and 1 1/8 OD would work...and that would leave a little room if I need to cut it down alittle...The dana 20 sits way back with the t18 installed

My Stak came with a piece of all thread and some heavy walled conduit. I added a support down to the tranny cross-member - works fine

Looks like a couple studs prevent the rail from spinning?
