hhmmmm that would require a CB that I don't have... been wanting to get one, and that gives me a reason, maybe I could find one a pawn shop or something.

We'll probably be out at DB Sat. the 25th. Maybe a little CR 30 MILE pre-run? Gotta replace an alternator first, though.

seen one cb that was all pretty much built into the mic, small piece that you can mount under the dash, then all the controls are on the mic as well as a lcd screen. not a lot of extra room in the jeep for mounting large radio. no more than I use it I could probably pick up a cheap used handheld. don't know what kind of range they have though.

all the rain last week have the river up much?

Cb's last all of a year in my rig w/ no doors. No way am I gonna shell out more than that on a temporary radio. Anyway, I can reach from the meadows to the bridge, what's that, ~2miles? That's plenty for what I have invested. Anyone got an SRW meter? I've never even tuned mine.

changed the fluids in the bike this afternoon and needed an excuse to ride SOMEWHERE so rode down to DB just to look around, obviously didn't go down by the river with the bike, but from the bridge it looked about like it did during the sand drags
