We took a lot of trash out of there. I think most of the dumb asses hang out by the bridge so all the passing traffic sees the trash. Only a gate fee is gonna keep em out.

Don't know....
Waiting on the "Shame on you Dirty Texans" speech again from some uppity ups......

last year I got a free cord of wood and 100# of metal after the clean up.

don't know about asking for more goverment. We need some kinda law down there. But asking for a gate fee might be handing our a$$e$ to them.

I left Sunday afternoon and the meadows looked pretty good. Don't bother going past my camp site you wont find any steel, aluminum, or even fire wood! Picked up some as we wheeled the hard stuff, couple plastic bottles and some you guess it cans.

I hear what you're saying about the gate fee. And I don't like any more govment interference. Had a long conversation with a game warden about the trash and what not, including the human kind. I'll post up the name and phone no. of the guy in Austin who is over the ohv stickers when I get the paper from my wife. Warden asked me to have as many folks as I could to blow up his phone with complaints. It's all public info, so what better place than a public forum, if that's cool.

Bump! The lack of locals posting up is disturbing. This thread should be 10 pages long by now considering how many people use this place. I'll try to get some stuff from work to giveaway.

Wish I was closer bud. You guys truly have an awesome backyard to play in & I guess it'll take getting the place taken away or restructured to wake some people up.

I saw the H1 numerous times over sand drag weekend. Sorry about the delay, haven't been on for a few days. Guy in Austin is Steve Thompson. His # is 512-389-8230. He is the "program leader" of the ohv stickers. I still plan to be there with my daily driver, so no water crossings for me.
