A good brake guy in Amarillo..

I replaced my Master Cylinder and deleted the stock proportionng valve...I have a willwood proprtioning valve for the rear and flex lines....Who is a good brake guy in town that can bend new lines for the whole vehicle...My current lines look like a rat's nest...I stopped at a local guys place and he said he would have to order stock bent lines and dint bend by hand..That wont work because none of it is stock anymore...So I need a guy who can bend them by hand and do a clean job...Any suggestions..

I found out a lot of guys won't do t because of liability reasons. I ended up doing it myself on my first vehicle. It s was a Scrambler restore. I bought a small tubing bender and a double Flare tool and went to work. It was not hard at all. Just took some time.

I figured as much...I may have to go that route...It doesn't look hard, but I want it to be safe...

I understand the safe part. I use to be the type that would not touch brakes becuase I felt they were too important. Then I brought my Jeep to a place in Vidor and found out, if you belong to the primate species and can move your lips you can do it. I am not entirely sure you need to move your lips. I bought a cheap double flare tool from Harbor Frieght and went to work. I have done quite a few now with no problems.

It's not too hard for the do-it-yourselfer.

If you have plenty of room and dont need any sharp 90 degree bends, you can usually bend it by hand.

I have a flaring tool, but have never needed a bender.

you can buy a lil bender for like $3 and the flare tool isnt much more i think. ive done plenty now and with no problems. but i use to be just like you, i didnt want to have anything to do with the brakes.......that is what stops you.
