KOC is still on

Ok everyone, since Rockchip is out, me and EZ got his OK to steal his idea. So here goes. Same weekend of May 23 & 24th. It should be busy that weekend, so lots of participation. I haven't nailed everything down yet, but I was thinking 3 general classes; Buggy(sandrail), Truck, and ATV. Also sub-class the 3 general classes into Stock and Open. I'd like to include a Modified class, but I don't want to get too many guessing games, and two sub-classes just simplifies things. The start/finish line will more than likely be at the train trestle, with 15-20 second delays between each rig. Let me know what ya'll think. Ideas are always welcome. Luke

I think we should have separate classes for rigs
on NOS and those that have race fuel vs. any rig
that has more than 3 stickers advertising performance parts..

oh, and any rig that has more than 38" tall tires
can't run against the race trucks with 33's, but
the race trucks on 35's can run against trucks
on 44's, unless the 44" tall tire truck is a stock class
sub-category and the race truck is red or blue..

and there should be "Shot Girls" at the turn around point...

also, I want dibs on being the staffer that is positioned at the turn around point...

What about a blue race truck on 44's and NOS with a Hooters girl riding shotgun? She might flip you the bird at the turn around!!

Yes, rally style down the river bed. There will be checkpoints where you will have to obtain some kind of proof you were there ( punched and initialed by staff member). It will be anywhere between 15 and 30 miles round trip (still undetermined right now.)

Cool! I've always wanted to bring some POS car with a big block, hacked out fenders for a set of 35's. Make it do-able in a 2wd POS with a balls out attitude!!

MAYBE a 2wd if it's locked or welded!

On a negative note, we might all have to read the latest posts on "Local Law enforcement BS". It seems we may need a mass gathering permit to do this thing. I will definitely check it out.

Forget all that. It's ON!!! We don't expect 2500 people or more than 51% under 18. It's come as you are. No permit required. Also, working on Hooters gift cards, Subway gift cards, and some other stuff to entice folks.

That's all fine and good, but this WILL NOT be a drunk fest. If you are drinking and/or holding a at sign up, you WILL NOT be allowed to enter. This will be a fairly long race down the river bed and back and also timed, so there's not the usual "let's just stop here and have a " along the trail. If I find out ANYONE was drinking during the event, driver, staff, or co-pilot, I will DQ that driver, staff, or co-pilot. Let's keep it safe.

there are a couple of "secret" places in mind, from what I understand....
but, the folks that have 'em spotted won't let on as to the locations
in an attempt to keep the new trails from being done like "No Name"
was...tore up and subsequently closed.....

Nothing against rockchip or anyone else, but since he dropped out, this is now my race with some changes. I took out the crawling part and just decided it would be fun to have a flat out race down the river. I'm thinking to the pipeline and back.

I didn't mean to step on any toes really i just wanted to share the video! however i do think its pretty liberal calling it the "King of the Canadian" still when a 2wd sand rail is gonna have the best chance.

My toes are fine, you just barely missed em. This is almost the same race, just new thread, new organizer, and I used the KOC thread name to eliminate any confusion. It won't be called the KOC, so don't relate it to KOH. Let's call it Canadian 30, in honor of Baja 1000.

Hey, with the different classes Blazer85 has in mind, it won't
make much difference about buggies vs. trucks vs. whatever

Making a balls out run for one end of the river and back for
fun is one thing, especially when you can stop for "rest breaks"

Making a balls out run against the clock AND other racers, well,
that's a whole different story.....separates the B.S.'ers from the real drivers

BRING IT BRING IT BRING IT, and leave all the cry babies and naysayers
AT HOME ON THE PORCH!!!!!!
