Guy I work with supposedly got a job there, said they haven't given him a start date yet, that he thought it would be after ya'll finished your next turn around. how does your schedule work? I'm his boss at owens corning, him getting on there has me seriously planning on taking the test for a job there next time they give it just to try to get away from owens corning. I have no faith in owens being open in Amarillo in a year or two.

SKNuisance will become famous soon enough
If I get my SM465 back before the weekend and I can get it back in the jeep before saturday I will be there, I might have to hide the in the shop so I can do some work without seeing two of everything.

They supposedly hired 20 more. I dunno when their start date is. They hired two in a few weeks ago from the same class so they were assured an operations bid. They were from Celanese.
If you're in operations, the schedule is as follows (12 Hr. shifts):
4 midnights
3 off
3 daylights
1 off
3 midnights
3 off
4 daylights
7 off
then repeat over, and over.

Maintinence bids are 8 hr days, 5 days a week unless you are on call.

It doesn't look like our turnaround will be over before the first week of June, so, I'm guessing I'm out of the Memorial Day activities...

See you after the Clayton, Ok. run

From the sound of the pay and benefits he's been talking about, he's got me thinking about trying to get on next time they start hiring. Whats the easiest way to keep track and find out when they are going to do more testing? I've gone about as far as I can go at Owens Corning, without getting a degree, and always have to wonder now whether they are going to keep the place open from year to year now.
