News Flash----NO NAME IS DEAD-or is it?????

Luke and I were out at the river yesterday wheelin' and
we decided to head back and look at No Name just for giggles....

when we got to the "trail" we discovered a chunk of rock the size of
Evan/Mudnmyvayne's Suzuki right smack in the middle of the trail
just above the first ledge that always gives all who attempt
the trail so much trouble....

so, without explosives or a week's worth of pick-axe and air powered
demo tools, NOBODY will be giving that trail a try for some time..

Luke's wife took pics and they will be posted soon!!!!!

Yeah, is sluffed off from a little higher up to the left.

the rather large 7 or 8 foot high chunk that the pine tree branches are resting on used to
be about 5 foot back to the left and about the same further up.....

the lower third of the rock is obscured by a ledge in the second photo
and the gap that you can see the dead tree in the backgroud used to be occupied by
the trail closing chunk......or "pebble" if you will....

I will assume that anyone who has never seen the trail in person
or on video won't get the significance of this huge boulder effectively
closing down the trail....

it was only a couple of months ago that the trail was open...

I also find it amusing that those folks that have never seen this
trail in person speak of it as if they could drive right up it.....

many, many attempts have been made and 95% of those
have been seriously denied.....I have personally been owned by that
bad boy twice....

confidence is great if a person utilizes it properly.....

I know a select few individuals have piloted their rigs/buggys a few feet
further than us mere mortals, but to date, no one has ever made the whole
trail.....No Name is to the Canadian what Lucifer is to Trees Ranch.....

we (me and Redneck) thought that it looked like that rock had fallen some and screwed up the trail when we were up there about 2 weeks ago

they went all the way to the top?

that's not what I heard!!!!

Granted, I wasn't there, but those who were that I spoke
to said that a full run wasn't achieved.....

hence, the reason most of the locals still refer to the trail as "No Name"

but, I have been wrong before.........

either way, that trail is CLOSED, thanks to Mother Nature!!!

I could have sworn there was a 15 to 20 foot wall at the top of the trail......

in the pics you posted , it appears that there is just a few boulders no bigger
than James' 44s.............What the hell am I thinking......am I recalling
a different trail or did the buggies go around the wall somehow?

there really isn't a way past the offending boulder, unless
your rig is only 4 foot wide.....and I would hand over the title
to my Jeep to the rig that could go straight up and over the rock
that currently blocks the trail......

well, if the bank didn't have the title.........
