i left my Grandparents at 45th and Coulter..it was just a sprinkle.
went and eat at Rosa's and it was coming down pretty good.
By the time i got to 45th and Georgia you couldn't see and there was over a foot of water on the road.
By the time i got to Washington and 46th my hood went under water going through the intersection.

scared the piss out of my Opti spark.

Yea we got a **** load of rain fast, took a couple of pics on Georgia. Wish I had a kayak. Should have seen all the cars stalled out under I-40 & Washington. Traffic backed way the hell up. Nice rain though.

I got some kick ***** video of the flooding around this side of town, including some drown cars at 46th and the tracks east of washington. The wind blew so hard it was pulling the tin off my shop.

We were right there at Awesome Bill's corner just minutes before that in my wife's car and turned around to find another way home. I just knew we were about to suck water.

41st and Washington was a river.....

I am right on the corner and had water up to my yard, about 3 feet
deep right over the curb and a foot and a half/two foot in the middle of Washington...

41st was flooded as far as four blocks back to the west off Washington..

Some folks are just plain stupid...at the worst part of it, there was a
full size 2 wheel drive Chevy stalled right on my corner, an Mitsubishi
Eclipse across the street, a Taurus 3 houses south and a Mustang that
was going, but you could hear the Flowmasters struggling as the "coldair"
intake(he's from around the corner)was sucking water...all the while, people just kept driving thru the mess like the water didn't matter...

I saw little kids in the back of small cars with huge smiles on their faces
while mommy and daddy just drove off into 2 to 3 feet of rushing water..

Just stupid....anyway, near the start of the storm, we got some pea sized hail
and then what seemed like a "micro-burst"....not sure if I am using the right
term or not , but the wind was literally roaring and seemed to almost violently rotate and in the process took several large branches down off the biggest tree in my back yard and almost ripped some of the tin off the garage next door....didn't last more than 3 or 4 minutes, but it was kinda scary for a few minutes...
....and I normally don't get too upset about the crazy weather around here being born and raised in Amarillo....

Third street right in front of b&w battery got chewed up. The storm drain wiped out the manhole and flooded a couple of buildings.

Ya'll can keep that sh*t up there. We're flat like that here, so when it comes down quick, everything floods. Those straight-line winds are a biotch, too. Breaks stuff.
