$100 I would think. That's maybe on the high end. I think I might know where one is forsale. I'll check.

Im considering building a doubler...maybe...Just gathering up stuff really....I'm also researching how much a pain it will be to mount the 203/205 set up to a AMC TH400 or T18...Thats another story...

Harley, I found one already, before I posted this..Thanks man...

I've got a friend that would love to know the awnser to this. He's got a amc th400 with the quadra-junk t-case and were trying to figure out how to mate up a 205 or the like. Always wondered if it was just a simple output shaft swap on the th400.

From what I can tell, it is just a swap of the tail shaft off a Gm Th400...But I could be way off the mark...And if that is true,( assuming the tranny is now going to have to be rebuilt anyways) I think it maybe cheaper to get the adapter from the amc engine to the Gm transmission from novak... but then it may be cheaper just to swap to Gm engine, tranny and tcase all together due to the cost of adapters....I have been reading about so many options, I have confused myself entirely at the point...I have opened a can of worms with the t18 to np 203/205...I think I may just stick to the 6:1 t18 and the ol'dana 20 for overall simplicity.

In my old rig. I had a AMC t400 with a quadrajunk behind it. I blew the tcase to pieces so I bought the novak adapter and a dana 300. Not soon after that the AMC 304 was just too old so I did a 350 swap. I got a chevy t400 housing from a guy in Pampa for free. I got me a book and swapped the AMC 400 stuff into a chevy housing with a rebuild. There is nothing different between the two transmission expect the bell housing. You can get a amc housing for about $75 from Turbo Exchange or Circle 4.

It's nothing but an output swap and bolting on the adapter. WAY TO EASY AND CHEAP!

The jeep th400s are the same internally as a chevy 400, just the bell is different. Theres a TON of different output shafts for the 400 though, and you will really have to do your homework to get the right one. I have a couple of the 400/203 combos, and from what I can tell you need the specific 400/203 output shaft from the 400 to work to make a doubler. There are at least two different 400/205 ouputs and adapters (long 84/85-91, and short 77ish to 84). Plus all kinds of custom ways to adapt them (possibly a TH375 output into a th350 version 203 with a custom adapter).

I wont put an auto in anything else, but my Blazer runs a 454/th400/205 combo as of now, and its just begging for a doubler!
