X-mas tree burn

Who all is making the burn? Time and meeting place? I dunno whether to bring the fam in the wifey's rubicon, or come solo in the flatty.

If you go, turn and go under the bridge and head west. Then just look for the fire big enough to see from space!

hahah..ok..Around what time do the festivities kick off?...What the status on the texas OHV stickers, do you have to have them now to drive out there?...I got stopped in my stock 3500 w/street tires, which is defienatly not a rock crawling offroad machine, and they gave me a warning for no sticker and offroading...I was just trying to get to a spot where I could park, that was out of the way so I could get some photos of the folks wheelin...ridiculous...

I thought as long as it was a registered and inspected vehicle, you didnt need an OHV sticker.

I thought that originally too, but I was informed out there that I was in the wrong...Thats why Im asking what the current reg is out there at the river, because some of that they consider a road and some of it a trail...I asked where it changed from road to trail since I could drive a stock pickup to the top of most of the hill using one of the 15 million trails to the top...He said where the road gets rough is considered "4x4"...Whole friggin road in there is rough(including downtown 287)...ecspecially in a 3500 beating you to death like a mixer.....lol

I got busted one time out there with no sticker sitting on top of the watefall. I acted dumb about knowing I had to have one, but the Game Warden was cool as hell and we sat and chatted about the law. He said the book reads that if your undercarriage gets wet then you are suppose to have a sticker. As long as you stay in the hills then they are not suppose to bother you. Which we all know they do. They get whom ever they can get and if you contest if you won't when! I asked what about my toe tig? If it's down in a camping area then can they get me for now having one. He told me they shouldn't unless they are just being assholes that day. We Go on and on about this law and nothing will change. Just go buy one and get it over with.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/o...l#street_legal This means you can drive down the main road without one as soon as you get off the road say the riverbed, hills or trails you need one.

All day! Everyone really starts pooring in about dusk. I was going to go about 3ish just to watch. My toyota will be way to cold. So, I'm just going to cruise in the yj and watch.

What time is everyone else getting there?
