GM 14bolt Disc Parking Brake Options?

I've searched and haven't found anything real helpful. Looked here and Pirate4x4 and all the disc conversions manufacturers.

Seems that the only option is the Eldorado calipers from a '76-'78 Caddy. But everyone that I ask who have them, hate them.

Besides a driveshaft brake or linelock...what else is there?

I'm needing a mechanical parking brake to pass inspection. This being my DD, I won't be able to shed the drums that are weighing me down.

Thanks for all the help and pics if ya got 'em!

What kind of rig do you have? The drum setup is only 100# of unsprung weight.

Well, being that I just shelled out money for CUCV's the newer 14 bolt isn't an option.

90'K5, I have a full size Jeep pickup. J10 model. I'm about 3500 lbs empty. Just want to shed as much weight possible. I know some would say...your going in the wrong direction with the tons....

I'm gonna read up on that thread you posted. Thanks for the insight.

Went ahead and called Skip at TSM. Thanks for the heads up 90'K5

looks like they are ready to take orders for the new "system". Its going to be a two caliper bracket. You can either specify for a hydraulic caliper and a secondary mechanical caliper or two hydraulics...you decide. This "system" is for two calipers per wheel....
