Yeah I got a transfer I put in for about a month ago. We have a week to find a house, then they want me down there the first part of April. I am a little nervous and will be until I get my house here sold, but got a few people interested.

Hey Brian, I got your call voice mail. I am at the Hilton gardens on 83. We are supposed to look at houses for a while in the afternoons, but will give you a call. I didn't have cell service when you called.

Looks like the Mission area will be best for me as of now, but the wife has her heart set on a home in Pharr. So we will see. We did go look at a few tonight, and will be kind of busy tomorrow.

It depends on what part of Pharr and Mission as well........nice parts of pharr but not extremely safe. Mission is safer but kinda depends if your closer to the sharyland area......

yeah the sharyland area is nice, it is actually the east side of mission. there are some nice parts in pharr, but you have to be really careful. also don't get too close to the flood zone! north mc allen is nice either up north 2nd across to north 23rd or even central mc allen in the established older neighborhoods. only problem with the well established older neighborhoods is the electric bill in the middle of summer! if you have a question about a certain area i can help you as much as i can! do yall have any kiddos??

Okay, all I can say is WOW!!! We are home now. We looked at many houses, and have decided on one in North McAllen. I just have to sell my house here first. My realtor grew up in the area, and wouldn't even show us houses that were not in good parts of town.

Time flew while we were there, and sorry I didn't get anyone called, but a week in not much time at all to check out a job, and find a house. I am betting that I will need a rental for a couple months. Furnished more than likely. Since the company is going to pay for the move, I feel I need to let them haul all my crap.

Pharr is out, and Mission is really spotty. There are some really nice looking homes scattered in some bad neighborhoods. We were looking in the Sharryland area with the Realtor.

I am supposed to report to work on the 11th of April I believe my wife will be staying here, so I need some temporary living. Aslo I will need someplace to hang out till my wife gets down there.

I did love the area, and most of the people we met were super friendly( except for at Wal-Mart. Holy sh!t!! Never again, Target here we come!!!!

I must be old to say this, but South Padre is not the place to be during Spring Break!!
