Sabine County

Hello all. Just wondering if we have any wheelers around the Sabine County area. I should have my Jeep ready to drive in a few more weeks and will be looking for some mud to play in.

Are there any good offroad parks around here? Heard there used to be one in Alto but not sure if its still there.

You have Shilo ridge....which is alto, 2 places in Jacksonville....mud creek and river run, and a few farther north. Not exactly sure where you are at. River run is one of the best around, and it is fairly new.

I'm in Hemphill, which is on the Louisiana border, one hour east of Lufkin. My Jeep is fairly large. Chevy 350, SM465, NP205, Dana 60, 14 bolt, 44 inch TSL's.

Texas Hog Wallow is about 30 minutes South of Newton on 87. Lot of land and lot of mud. It's new and needs some work.

I have 100 acres 15 miles south of Newton that I plan on puttin a pit on and there's an old logging road right by it with huge mud holes.

It's basically done now. Last time I was home I installed the shafts and drove it to get inspected. I still have a few things to add to it, like a traction bar and build a fan shroud. But it's driveable now, and I have a trailer and a Chevy 2500HD Duramax tow rig. As time and money permit I will install a new fuel cell, front ARB, maybe a bigger winch. What date is the Vidor ride? I will be home around New Year I think.

We'll also be headin to mud creek in the next couple of weekes. We're working on another 54" bogger rig that should be ready to test in about 2 to 3 weeks.

I like to wheel at a good pace. last few rides ive been on, everyone wants to sit around and talk about it instead of doing it. trails would be great

Yours wouldn't. Ha!

I'd love to check out that rive run place, I just need a better tow rig.
Once I graduate I'm gonna get a Cummins dually.

I'm probably towin' my truck up to the creek in a couple weeks so I can go play on that flooded road down by the river.

How many times have I had to pick up heavy crap under your truck?
And I believe I had to pull your front shaft after the baby pit.

I want a little bit newer cummins, one pretty much like the one you got.
