12vcummins swap in 82 k-10

ok im tired of tearing up bbc's i wanna take to another level. i was wondering if anyone here has done this swap before, i need to gather some info from people who actually did the swap, i did a google search and i couldnt tell if these guys paid someone to do it or what but they sure are clueless.
i wanna know where to get the 4bt adapter so i can run my sm-465, install pics, mods needed to be done, whatever i need to know to have a cummins power plant in this thing.

tennesee diesel conversions, replaces the stock engine crossmember to be used with no lift. not necessary in your case, but doesnt get in the way of anything you have now.

this swap really isnt gonna be that bad at all, i think i found the motor now i just have to come up with a bell housing the rest seems pretty simple

i have been told that theres a company out there that direct replaces gm motor mounts with cummins? is this true? ive seen the conversion kits but i was just gonna take the entire mount out of the donor truck and weld it in my frame.

i think the crossmember i have should work "hopefully" it was built by a board member it cleared a talldeck 427 with plenty of room to spare but then again idk how much difference is in the motors i havent even looked or compared them yet

I'm curious to watch this conversion and I wish you well, but if you have a 1/2 ton frame, I would sure as all get out reinforce that sucker because that 12 will twist it like a pretzel and a liccorice stick!

I have a 12v in my DD that I could get you some measurements off of as far as oil pan depth and so on. Also as far as an adapter goes for different trannys. Cummins made muti use bellhousings ie: sae1, sae2, ect ect. Do some reserch and you will find what you need. Hope this helps.

thanks guys, yes it will most likely stay stock maybe some copper rings in the heads and arp head studs but thats about the extent of it. i have the 10 splinr 465 in it now but have a 32 sittin aside for this occasion.and yes will deinately be doing some reinforceing my frame is 82 1/2 ton frame so its much flemsier than the pre 80's.i believe ive found the bell housing at a local truck yard, they are proud of them but well worth it.only performance ill be doing to this motor will only be for economical reaons cough cough. just some straight 4" out the back, cold air, possibly some tweaking on the fuel rail but i dont want it dumping black smoke all over the place all the time thats annoying i just want it to get the job done.i will post pics of this build for sure when the time comes just bare with me guys, funds are kinda hairy right now

not a bad idea its passed my mind as well but ive already started boxing my frame and getting some tube bent for cross members, and its still chebby
