2 NP205's questions thought and comments.

I thought I'd start a thread on putting 2 205's in Puddles, the first picture here is of what I found somewhere that I am going to do. I have the extra case already and plan on running a divorced case behind the one that I'm going to cut and mount behind my 465. It's seams easy enough and with all the 205's running around fawkerville up here.... why not ? . The one I'm useing is a figure 8 with the 10 spline input. After this install all be 169.35 final !

I'm all ears/eyes, this would be pretty sweet for my M715.

.....so, a long shaft in front is bad? You'd rather have a long shaft in the rear??

Did a quick search, seen one guy run a married ford 205 and a divorced gm 205.
How would the shift pattern work? Would u just shift both cases or leave married one in a curtian gear?

Depends on how low of a gear you need for the situation.

Well the thing here is, my front drive shaft is not that long right now. It's almost factory length believe it or not. My rear drive shaft is stupid long right now so I think this will help !

It will be the same as a 203/205 dubla ! The 1st 205 will only have hi and low. then the second will be as normal.

I have a 3 speed stak in my fj40 but am just about to build a 241/205 setup. 205's are heavy but cheap and strong. Love when people think outside the box.

Only concerns I'd have are the shaft lengths..but with rocks you should be fine. and the input on the divorced case if you try to run front case in low, rear case in high.

Yeah. Overstressing the input gear so if you only use 2:1 pop the rear case in low and the front in high

Ok got the case all marked out.

I I just sat the intermediate gear in there to get an idea on where to cut it.

Used a 4 1/2 inch cut off wheel and got r done.

Next ill clean up the case and grind a angle in it to help weld it up better. !!!

Final result !
