2006 4.0 to 1992 XJ ?'s

Doing this for a cousin of mine. She has a 1992 XJ with +300,000 miles on the ticker. It doesn't smoke but is tired as hell.
Anyways, I picked up a 2006 4.0 with low miles and was wanting to put that in. In order to keep the existing computer etc., could I simply rebuild and use the 92 cylinder head, intake manifold, exhaust manifold and throttle body etc. and use that with the 2006 block? Would it be that simple or not. Any suggestions and/or comments are welcome as I need to move on this soon. Thanks in advance guys.

the motor mounts are going to be completely different. you can keep the existing computer but your going to have to go to all the old style sensors. i'd use the new head and intake for the hp/torque bonuses and junk the 92's stuff. lots of good info here www.jeepstrokers.com oh and your going to need the 06's power steering bracketry but you should be able to use the other 92 accessories
