It is pretty easy to do. The hardest part is usually getting the roll pin out of the case and reinstalling it. I have done this 3 times so far. Twice with a grinder and once with a mill at work. All 3 have worked with no problems.

So from that...I would say 1 rail, driver's side!

Once you twin stick it does it allow you to put one in high and the oter in low? I just dont want to have to worry about accidently shifting one in high and the other in low.

Not if you do it right. I haven't had any of the ones I have done get high in front low in rear or vice versa. Just try to grind them as close to the dimensions as you can and you will be good. My first time grinding the one rail gave me everything I wanted which was front wheel drive only w/ high or low. To get front high range I have to go to 4-high then push the rear out to nuetral. The other 2 I have done I took a little more time to measure it out and you get any option you want from nuetral. Yes you only grind the rail closest to the input from the tranny.

I did mine and got a little over-zealous, so I can do hi-low one way but not the other. I figure that I'm the only one driving it, and I know not to do that, so it's all good. I've gotten to do a couple of front digs, and I love it.

i think i did the same thing you did 95yj. But i also dont have the linhages tightened down all the way. I am waiting because the kit i got came with lock nuts and i dont want to tighten them down to have to get new ones. i am going to try and track down a parts 205 and try it again.

There is a rod in the case, between the shift rails, toward the rear that will not allow you to go hi/low in F/R.

But, if you take the rod out, you can.
