if your going to do a doubler then buy a ford 205 and run the 31 spline gear in your chevy case. When you buy your doubler then you can order it with a 31 spline shaft. Also you can rob the 32 spline front out put out of the ford case and put it in your chevy if it has the 10 spline front. That is if i remember everything correctly.

btw you can get a ford case for under 150. and not have to spend 300.

no. you dont need a doubler, you just need a 32 spline input gear for your 10 spline 205.

you cant even run a ford case cause theyre driver side drop anyways.

Are you trying to mate it to a th400? If so, you need the th400 input. You would be better off to find a whole t-case because the 32 spline version uses a bigger bearing. To put the 32sp input in the 10sp case you will need to have the bearing hole machined out.

Hi Y'all,

At Mudfest, he twisted and broke the main shaft to his SM465. His 465 is the early style 10 spline input/10 spline output. He's buying my updated SM465, 10 spline input/32 spline output.

He has a 10 spline male 205. He needs a 32 spline female input gear for his 205. If anyone can help, or if you have a round pattern 205 for realistic money, let us know.

Thanks,

Manny

dude, dont be a retard, Just get the big 32 spline gear, the bearing for it, and get the case machined to fit the big bearing. IT WONT HAPPEN FOR FREE THOUGH.
I just sold the t-case he needed for $300 w/adapter for TH-400, I still have the 465, 465/205 adapter, and the 205 input gear to sell, but he wil have to get the 205 hes got machined for the big bearing.

Is this really called for? I thought this was an intelligent conversation about a simple question.

I dont think he was trying to get something for free; he was just asking if what he found was a fair price.

i believe your 10 spline 205 should be figure 8 pattern, and the 32 spline adapter will need a round pattern if I rememebr right. More trouble than its worth i think.

The 32 spline output for the sm465 requires a roundfaced case, a long adapter, and a long input shaft for the 205.
If it were me, I'd just stick with the 10sp stuff and make sure the coupler between the tranny and tcase isn't worn. That is usually what causes all the problems with this setup.

I feel plenty at home on pirate as well as here. I'm not trying to be an ***, just offering the most simple advice. If someone with a 205 needs the big bearing 205 it is RETARDED to try and find a large hole race track pattern 205. I have had a few, and i know how hard they are to find. Its much easier to have a small hole case bored out and buy a new bearing and input. I also know what inputs cost and machine services. 32 spline inputs are anywhere from 50 to $150 used/new. depending if they are the long one or the short one. I also offer my number for the guy with the original ? if he still needs help. I have the tranny hand case to get him fixed for the big ****. Thanks, Laramie 806-420-9091

thats the same set-up i've been running since i was 15 when bought my truck. it leaked bad when i got it but just got a gasket kit and put new gear oil in it and its held up through and abuse. i throw 450hp to it i know its not much compared to alot of guys but it throws me around just fine lol.but of course i bought my truck with the 32 spline rear output and 10 spline into the motor. oh ya for warning dont try to "race" or "quick shift" that granny four, you'll just wair yourself out and burn syncs.

Thats all fine and dandy there, however 32 spline 465 adapter means he needs round pattern 205, not a figure 8 like the 10 spline ones You might be more welcome if you stopped with the retard comments..
