350TBI 4l80e to NV4500 swap question

So I am getting closer to swapping in my 4wd NV4500 into my 1991 R/V3500 that currently has a 4l80e, and after looking at some ECM pinout diagrams I have a few questions. More like one question with several possibility. I see this going one of several ways...

1) Get a "7747" ECM and and connectors and repin the harness while chasing all the circuits to make sure they are correct
2) Buy a engine harness that is designed to work with the "7747" ECM and make the needed connections
3) Send out my ECM to be reflashed and then swap around the connectors that are needed to make the 5 speed work with the ECM.

Im trying to do this without dumping a lot of cash into it because hopefully in the near future it will be getting a Cummins. So if anyone can think of a option I missed, or if anyone has any insite on this project i am all ears!

I have not installed the NV4500 yet and i currently have ECM# 16147060 that is unique to the 1991 R & V 3500's with the 4l80e. Im not sure what issues I may have but a few that I believe with come up is
1) The 4l80E has two VSS and the NV4500 only has one
2) Clutch Safety switch ( I don't really want to keep the auto column and have shift it so the ECM will know when i am in drive/part etc.

Now all of this is pure speculation right now and what might be the easiest is to just swap it in, hook it up and start trouble shooting. I would really rather have some kind of plan going in. Thanks guys

I have done some looking around on that site but couldn't find anything for TBI only TPI and up. I guess the search continues! Thanks though

Wait to swap transmissions when you do the cummins swap??? That's what I'd do so I'm not wasting time and money.

I had thought about that, the only down side is that the 4l80E is slipping and I dont really want to spend the money on a rebuild. Used transmissions are really hit and miss, plus with my underpowered SBC it could use the help getting the 37's rolling with my 4.10's. Might just run it until it gives up the ghost and hope the funds for the Cummins swap appear sooner then later!
