400 to 205 question

I searched the forums but this was as close to an answer as I could find http://www.texas4x4.org/showthread.p...00+adapter+205 and it still did not help me out.
How do I tell what 205 adapter I will need?
My T400 has a 208 bolted behind it now.
I was looking at these to buy,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevy...item3cb5a63b64
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevy...item43a518062d
I am not sure what style I need, The 465 and 205 adapter looks like the top listing. I don't have alot of experiece with these adapter and switching and swapping them around so I appreciate and help.
If ya know what I will need or have what I need please let me know.
I figures someone had asked this before but did not find it.

Do you have a round pattern np205 or a figure 8?

If you have the round pattern np205 then the later model 85-91 adapter will allow you to bolt up to your existing th400 without changing the output shaft length.
