5.4 rebuild

Ok guys I just got some rods and ARP hardware in today and plan on a budget build. Forged 5.4 for my 4x4, I'll be around the 425 mark(stock rods tend to let loose around 450hp) and I'm pushing it now! I'll prolly do a 100 shot on top of 15#s of boost.

Crank and pistons come forged stock, and pistons will be next in line to go at around 650 but I won't hit that in the 4x4.

Things still needed,

Mains,
Rings,
Gaskets,
High volumn oil pump,

You starting with a Lightning motor? Why NOS on a 4x4? Gonna do sand drags? Sounds like it could be a sic build, but don't know about the 'budget' part. HP ain't cheap. Good luck, and post up progress.

Well I have a 03 Harley, and the budget part comes into play since I'm actually spending the coin on the Harley and upgrading it. So most of these parts are my stock ones. the supporting mods such as S/C, Injectors, pumps, pulleys and so on...

Somethings have changed and will change, such as EVAP, ABS, EGR, and A/C delete... Thats just a pic I had from like 2 years ago from the Harley.

And a Pic of my junk thats getting fitted with the set-up

Just thought I'd show a couple of pics... this NX kits set-up with 100 pills, might bump it up to 150 but I don't want to get greedy.

some hardware

Forged rods so I can turn the boost up and not be scared of ventin the block

Pulley bridge and +8Lbs lower crank pulley = 16Lbs of boost

Snout pulley +2Lbs of boost = 18 lbs

And with that much boost running through the eaton will produce a lot of heat so the heat/exchanger

Last at this time, is the charger... I'm porting it and stripping the rotors about 30 extra HP for free I'm down, haha

Also I didn't plan on this but looks like I'll be having some heads for the build (TEA stage3)ughhhh I guess that means cams are a must, didn't plan on building a top end, but it is what it is...

The exhaust is 1 3/4" primaries to 3" collectors Y'ed into 1 4"I/O dia. magniflow

Thats about all I have for now but I'll have more to follow
