700r4 output shaft

I have heard that there is an input shaft that can be swapped into the 700r4 to allow you to use a stock 203 adapter to run a doubler. Is this true or am I just making that up? For some reason I was thinking it was the shaft form a 350. thanks for any info.

If you get ready to do the swap do some searching for the output shaft. On most AA stuff I've found cheaper prices at different places.

Has anyone ever drilled and tapped the 203 to use a 208/241 adapter. I read on the ORD site that this can be done with some machine work. Anyone have any experiance doing this?
