Carb. to EFI

I may have access to a 350 tbi engine from a 1996 Caprice with 36,xxx original miles on it. The engine in my blazer is of unknown origin but the guy said it has approximatly 10,000 miles on it. If i get the chance should i swap the whole engine or just the tbi stuff? Any input is appreciated.

TexasSilhouette just gettin started
I put TBI on my 86, no regrets. Doing some tuning to extend the mileage and improve the WOT power with fair success.

Considering putting a TPI motor in it.

Actually if the motor is out of a 96 then it wont be a tbi, it will be a tpi. The tbi was last used in the 93 caprices if I remember right. All of the car tbi motors were factory roller cam motors. Get the complete harness and computer if you do the swap.

TPI was 85-92 camaro/firebird/vettes only. TPI is barely more noticeable than TBI, and way more expensive to try to get right. Also good luck with an LT1 if its not bone stock.

The motor tbi motor is bone stock. It was my grandmothers car and she just recently passed away at the age of 97. Im not even going to ask about it right now but im hoping to get my hands on it.
