changing trbo350 to 700R4??

My oldest boys sweet lil short bed we fixed up had a trans failure..We have decided to up grade to a 700R4 for the mileage of course. I have never made the conversion before personaly. I am hoping one of you fine ppl here in the forums has and can tell me how to make the trans work correctly as in the lock-up working and shifting right an all. If I am not mistaken it is semi-computer controlled? I might be wrong..please let me know.
I can handle the driveshaft issues an installing myself.
If there is a 'painless' wiring harness or something to order that you know about I am all ears.
Thanks guys, me an son really appreciate any help given.
here is his truck,82 SWB

Its not electronically controlled but it is IMPERATIVE that you correctly set up the TV cable. X-member might be another issue that may arrive...since the output length is different.

Blazer is right you must get the pressure cable adjusted properly or it will burn it up.
The lock up toque converter is controlled with a power and ground that runs through a switch on the brake pedal. You need to find someone to show you what to do it's not hard but best to have someone who has done it before help you.

OK I knew about the pressure/kickdown cable from dealing with 80s camaros thanks tho. I have s,torchs, drills all the goods to move cross member in the correct position.
It is the power ground thing that I am trying to figure out..I am wondering it I can't just put the 'lock-up' on a toggle? I know it has a 4 prong plug.. I am going to call painless an see what they say 2maro.
I have a couple of weeks before we start the up grade..anyone that has set this up please chime in..thanks peeps.

kartoon just gettin started
tciauto.com sells a kit for that lock-up. part #376600. very easy to install. you can also put a toggle switch on it if you wanted to. takes less than an hour to install. you only need to run a power wire and a small vaccum hose to the tranny.
