chevy tranny help!

I have a 1977 chevy with the trailering pckage and its 4x4, i took it to mudfest and broke something and i dnt know wht it is other than it is behind the tranny, i opend the tranny expecting a broke main shaft but everythings ok and it turns when the engine is turing over so its not a twisted imput shaft or clutch. It has all cast iron tranny and tcase. I was wondering wht yall think it is, no its not in nuetrall in the tcase so idk if there is a shaft i may have broke behind the tranny or blew the tcase, but whtever i did it dnt grind at and it broke quietly?????????? im lost any idears fellas???

If youve got a 205 behind your tranny, you probably broke the tranny output to t-case input coupler. Its a sleeve/collar that mates the male tranny output to the male t-case input. Very common breakage point on the 70s to 1983 rigs, especially behind a 465, although a humpy motor w/th350 breaks'em pretty easy too.
