Drivetrain swap quandry?

Well guys Ive been thinking about this alot lately and before I venture any further into this project I would like your opinions. Positives and negatives of this. Ive (my wifes) got a toyota Ive done a one ton swap on and I already have a LT1, built 700r4 with dana 300 adapter no tcase yet. The auto is actually for my wife I wanted to put my 4 speed in it. My question to yall is should I stay with the set up I have or should I sell this set up and find a toyota drive train and bolt it in?

Why sell and swap, what are your concerns with what you have?

Well I dont have any of the toyota stuff. I know Mitch liked his truck with the 1 tons and the yota drive train. But having had a samurai I know what its like not to have the wheel speed you want or need some times. I got the LT1 because I was able to get the whole running driving car for cheap. It ran fantastic when I pulled it out. The only problem with these is they dont care much for water.

Your motors torque couldn't even tighten the lugnuts. the answer is obvious.

I say if you have everything to hook up all the FI stuff on the lt1 then it wouldn't be a bad way to go. Those motors are not considered the best for off road but not responsible for everything bad in the world. If it sees any street time the extra power could be nice too.

If it's trail only the high hp isn't a must as long as the gearing is there and yota motors have a proven track record in the dirt. The stick shift is hard to get around in a yota though. Autos are out there but harder to find and a yota auto plus dual cases is a pretty long drivetrain.

It's up to you but I don't think either one is a bad option.

I got the whole harness, computer, fuel tank with pump, the horns off the car, I grabed everything I thought I might be able to use. I know its going to cost me a decent chunk of change either way I go just thought Id get some input form you guys. I do plan on this seeing some street time.

Too much money and HP sucks....let me tell ya...

IMHO, it seems you had an idea of what you wanted - but you are now second guessin your self. Just figure out what you want, there are pro and cons to both.
