Question engine for my mutt

hello,

i just bought my first car ,a jeep m151 a2 served in the vietnam war.its in good condition only there is a 1600 toyota engine inside and in not so good condition.my knowledge about my car is minimum ,but learning every day.so i live in thailand and its not easy to find and american engine.can anyone help me to find a good and powerfull engine for my mutt.thx and god bless you!

Is the 151 the Jeep with the IFS? As far as engines, I would find a Toyota drivetrain. You can probably find the stuff over there and internet support is great from what I've seen. Good luck.

IFS has that something to do with the suspension.i dont know for sure but can send some pics.

I've been to Thailand in fact to your city of Pattaya (beach). Now granted it was a long time ago. But you have to be crazy to even drive a vehicle over their.
And the way things are between the pound. You are better off trying to find a engine in Thailand /Bangcock.
Anyway, good luck trying to find one here in the USA and getting someone to ship it to you.

live is sheap here and the wheather is good.and there are dirt roades everywhere.from the first time i wass about 6 my uncle took me offroading with his jeep ,i was sold. i m carefull on the roads.if i drink i take a taxi.only i m breaking my head everyday about restoring my car.i dont know to much and the thais trying to rip me off.i just payed 200 dollar for the rear coil springs(only springs)is that a good price??i hope you guys help me out.thx
