freezing propane bottles on crawler

Since the rebuild of my truck, i decided to lay my bottles down. Ever since doing this, i keep freezing my bottles and fuel to the point of having to swap bottles and let the other one thaw out. I do have the indexing hole facing the bottom and have tried different positions of opening the valve. Am i doing somethign wrong or should i stand the bottles back up.

Mine lay down without issue. I always open the valve all the way. If it flows fuel too fast it can freeze. Is this what's happening? Does it stop flowing all together when it freezes?

What size motor? Dual mixers often are feed by dual tanks.

have a filter??? could be that the filter is getting dirty. if no filter, check the mixers and make sure they havent built up any oil residue in them.
