GM NP208 to replace Jeep NP208.....same input sline?

Anyone know if a GM passenger drop NP208 will bolt in place of a Jeep driver drop NP208?

the combo in question is a AMC bolt patterned TF727 tranny out of an '82 FSJ Wagoneer with the NP208 bolted up to it that I would like to use in my '78 Wagoneer. However , those of you hard-core FSJ guys know that my '78 is a passenger drop front Dana44, and the '82 is driver drop. Do most NP208's share the same input spline and adapter-bolt pattern?

The 727 uses a 23 spline output. The GM trannies of that era used either a 27 spline for the 350/700, or 32 spline for the 465/400.

If the bolt pattern is the same you can likely change the input on the t-case and make it work.
