header wrap

not real familiar with this stuff but should i soak it in water first or just wrap it on?

Just wrap it on, thats how we do it on the race cars. Or, how we did it actually, we ripped it all out. Stuff makes the headers rust underneath, and if oil or anything get on it it can catch fire.

YES! You should soak it....take it to the toilet and let it soak real good. Just when you think its ready,flush.



I agree with Big4x4ride,the wrap does more harm than good.

lol ok i guess it is going down the toilet! .....but we are only going to wrap just a really small section. we have a hose, just a little too close for comfort, to the manifold on my brothers truggy so i may just wrap that small section for extra insurance. probably 4 in or so that is all

I've had good luck with this stuff. Soak it in water before you wrap it and always make sure it is dry before letting it sit or it will rust the pipe. But if you have a heating issue it helps out alot.
