Holley 502-20S - Holley Pro-Jection Fuel Injection Systems

Looking for some input, and feedback from this kit from Holley. I have been out of the Gas game for a while, and about to get back in it. Havnt really been keeping up with the performance stuff. just under $1000 from summit. Truck is a 85 K10, witha 350

Any thoughts?

Matt, just say NO. Jason had one and had nothing but problems out of it. Then Nathan got it when he built his buggy and it didn't last long. One system went through three computers in four years. It's very under powered. They say it supports 275 hp, but we had it on a 300 or so hp 350 and it came no where close to keeping up. The computer control is all manual, so if it's humid, you tune it, if it's cold, you tune it, if it's hot, you tune it. Which means if you start out in the morning when it's cool, it will take one setting, then as it gets hotter in the day, you'll be tuning.

I'm sure there are some that have had good luck with it, so don't let my review be your deciding factor.

What are you wanting to do with the truck? There could be some tried and true carb setups that would work for you, that or a factory TBI setup.

On a side note, we are hoping to get back to Whitney sometime and catch up.

Put one of these on it. They are a little more but totally worth it. Mine is running GREAT!
Speed Way Motors was the cheapest I found.

Had it for 6+ years & My projection works........not well, the engine starts, & runs, it always runs rich, I now run E85, does better than regular, would I do it again? Nope, I'd spend a little more & go LS.....

Stay with a Carb in my opinion Holley pro injection is junk. I had it on my buggy and one day it would run OK the next day it was crap. Always had to tweak on it and it never ran right. Waste of money in my opinion.
