how big is too big?

is a 750 edelbrock too big for my chevy 305??? the model number is 1407...

I would say YES!!!!!!!! Wouldn't run more then a 600cfm on a 305. A good HO 350 could handle a 750 but not a stock one.

Are you planning on rebuilding the 305? Why not just pick up a 350 to rebuild? Cost the same to build and you get a little more power in the end, just a thought. Im in the middle of building a 350 right now with a 670 cfm tb an it should put out around 300-315hp im guessing.

i'm in between rebuilding the carb and just getting a 350 to rebuild and parking the truck for the next year or so...

maybe to big but it will only open up what it can use because of the vac. secondaries.

if it was a double pumper it would be a different ball game.
