Hydro clutch reservoir

Mitch mentioned in my wanted add that people drill there brake reservoirs for their hydro clutch master.

Has anyone here done this or see any problems I may run into? Going to try to get my k5 driveable tonight and this is the last thing I need.

What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

If Mitch said it will work then it will work.

I don't know why your not using the clutch res but as long as the cylinder is below the brake master, I don't see why it won't work. If you get a leek in the clutch you'll loose your brakes also, that's the only thing I see that could cause a problem.

Because I don't have one........

Haha. I don't have a clutch res so I posted up looking for one and Mitch mentioned that some people drill and tap the brake master to work.

The reason I ask is for the exact reason you mentioned. I'm not to worried about the clutch leaking but I'm more worried about ripping a hole in a brake line.

Since my truck is a standard if the brakes go out then I can use the tranny to slow me down. If I lose both I'm ******. Haha

Wouldn't a junk yard have a stock res for a couple bucks? Seems easier and maybe safer.

The reservoir for the 99'-04' chevrolet full sizes are quite compact. I think they're fairly cheap at oreilly also. Just a suggestion.....
