I need help with fuel!

My dodge has a 360 5.9l, bulldog tranny, and it GUZZLES the gas. Im getting somewhere around 5 mpg, and its got a huge fuel tank. The gas just doesnt last long, so Im asking a few questions...

1) How can I save gas? I know these trucks are notorious for getting low mileage, but something has to help

2) I want a fuel cell, but what kind? Needs to be a big one, but fit on a truggy bed sitting on the frame and hold lots of fuel.

3) My engine runs hard, and loud, anyway to make it not be so aggresive? I know its an odd question, but if I barely let off the clutch, that bulldog gear will absolutely smoke them.

Dang!!!!!!!! My 2002 1500 with a 360 v8 gets 18mpg. Sounds like you are running very rich or have a whole in the tank.

Check for holes in your tank.

There were holes, but they are all sealed and none leak. Here are some pictures of a valve/pipe coming off my headers, EGR possibly, that leads to nowhere and leaks alot of the exhaust emissions out. Looks like it was suppost to go to something beside my headers, possibly AC compressor.
