Knock sensor?
How much do I need it? Can I just plug that hole off? How about if I put a 90* in the hole and put the sensor in the 90*?
My header will not go on unless I can move it, or do away with it.

Are you carbureted or fuel-injected? As I understand it, the function is to retard timing if knock is sensed, but I'm not sure if it has any real use if you are carb'd. If you are FI, I expect you have to have it, but no clue if you could run it off a 90.

The knock sensor won't work if it's mounted on a 90. You can remove it but you will be throwing a code. The ECM can be reprogrammed to ignore the missing knock sensor.
